American beauty continua a non sembrarmi un film da Oscar, comunque. Ho largamente preferito The insider o Il sesto senso, o Magnolia.
Avrei assegnato l'Oscar a Tom Cruise per Magnolia, anche perché ho detestato Le regole della casa del sidro, ma Michael Caine è comunque molto bravo, anche nel film, quindi la sua vittoria non mi è parsa disdicevole.
Nel complesso sono d'accorto con te, è un ottimo quartetto, la Swank poi ha fatto la mia gioia! Boys don't cry è uno dei "miei" film dell'anno e la sua performance è stata straordinaria..
