A quanto pare questo Voglia di tenerezza film di quell'anno.. mai sentito nominare onestamente! . -

La storia è presto detta: due generazioni di donne, mamma e figlia, si confrontano sull'amore (tradito, ritrovato, filiale, etc.). Si ritrovano ovviamente quando una delle due è malata terminale di cancro... Insomma, una festa
E' un melodramma pieno di colpi bassi per lo spettatore. Lacrime a vagoni, è così volutamente eccessivo nella descrizione degli affetti, così banale -diciamolo- nella scrittura da drammone popolare... Qualche battuta acida intervallata da momenti tragici.
Molto ben recitato, ma tutti gli attori recitano calcando la mano sull'emozione. Shirley MacLaine non ha vinto per L'appartamento o Quelle due e ha vinto per questa cosa qui... Tipico risarcimento tradivo.
Regia piatta, film secondo me sopravvalutato.
Così a occhio, tra i candidati c'era Il grande freddo... Altra storia. Infatti è stato bellamente ignorato..
