Il suo amore per il teatro lo ha portato a calcare i palcoscenici inglesi per la maggior parte del tempo e della sua formazione. Nel 2006 ha debuttato sul grande schermo con “Alcuni giorni in settembre”, mentre la tv lo ha visto prendere parte alle serie “Lewis”, “I fantasmi di Bedlam”, “Monroe” e infine “Da Vinci’s Demons”, nel ruolo da protagonista: quello di Leonardo Da Vinci.
