Russell Ira Crowe (Wellington, 7 aprile 1964) è un attore neozelandese naturalizzato australiano. Premio Oscar nel 2001 come migliore attore protagonista per Il gladiatore, è stato iscritto fra le celebrità della Hollywood Walk of Fame. La sua stella porta il numero 2.404. Fra le interpretazioni più note dell'attore spicca sopra tutte quelle del gladiatore Massimo Decimo Meridio ne Il gladiatore, ma anche quella del matematico John Nash in A Beautiful Mind, del capitano Jack Aubrey in Master and Commander - Sfida ai confini del mare e del pugile James J.
