Chris Cooper, nome completo Christopher W. Cooper (Kansas City, 9 luglio 1951), è un attore statunitense.
Ha vinto l'Oscar al miglior attore non protagonista nel 2003 per l'interpretazione ne Il ladro di orchidee. E' celebre anche per l'interpretazione del colonnello in American Beauty al fianco di Kevin Spacey. Ha inoltre recitato in famosi film come Il Patriota al fianco di Mel Gibson, The Bourne Identity con Matt Damon, Syriana con George Clooney. Recentemente ha preso parte al film di Ben Affleck The Town dove interpreta in un breve cameo la parte del padre detenuto del protagonista.
